With the construction of buildings, mankind has changed the natural landscape into city dwellings rich in culture, history, design character, and impact on human health. Architecture touches every aspect of one's life from the interaction of walking down the street, placement of housing, and refuge from the harshness of nature from giant commercial buildings down to individual residential projects.

It has been said that people will spend 80% of their life inside; with numbers like that Interior Design has high importance in impacting the safety and health of occupants. Interior Design beyond the selection of finishes, fixtures, and equipment, takes a focus on creating spaces that promote productivity and well-being; through the use of spatial layouts, accessibility for all occupants, lighting design, construction management, research, and analysis.
